Overview
Creating a Clan
Any character over level 10 may create a clan. When a character has reached level 10 or higher, he/she can go to the NPC responsible for clan creation. Clan names may be comprised of up to 16 alphabetical and numerical characters and cannot include spaces or special characters.
A clan is made up of a clan leader (commonly known as a lord) and a number of clan members. New clans may accept up to 10 members. As the clan progresses and attains skills, they can have up to 40 members.
Leaving a Clan
A clan member may leave a clan, but they will suffer penalties as a result.
- If a clan leader wants to kick a player from their clan, they can go into the Clan Window, click on the Actions > Clan tab, select the name of the player and click the "Dismiss" button. A member that is dismissed from the clan must wait five calendar days to join another clan, but can create a new clan immediately. When a member is dismissed from a clan, the clan must wait five calendar days to accept new members.
- If a player wants to leave a clan, they can go into the Clan Window, click on the Actions > Clan tab and click the "Leave" button. When a member leaves a clan, he/she may not join any other clan for five calendar days, but can create a new clan immediately. The clan leader can accept new members immediately.
If the clan leader withdraws from the clan, the clan is automatically dissolved and receives penalties (see below).
Dissolving a Clan
A clan leader may dissolve the clan without the prior consent of the members. Dissolving a clan is done in the same manner as creating a clan, through the appropriate NPCs.
It takes seven calendar days to dissolve a clan. Clan skills are restricted until the dissolution occurs, but clan chat and clan bulletin boards may still be used. A clan cannot be dissolved when involved in a clan war. Members who leave the clan during those seven days will still be unable to join any other clan for five calendar days, but once the clan is dissolved the members who remained can join other clans immediately.
A clan leader who dissolves his/her clan receives experience penalties comparable to one death and cannot create a new clan for another ten days. In addition, all the skills and fame that the clan possesses will be lost.
Delegation
The clan leader can delegate the clan leader's unique rights to his/her own clan members. This is done by clicking the rights delegation button after selecting the clan member in the Clan Action section that one wishes to delegate to. The clan leader can delegate the following rights to clan members:
- Clan rights: clan joining, bestowal of titles, viewing of warehouse, registration of clan crest
- Clan hall rights: gate opening, other rights (function adding/restoration), banning
- Castle rights: gate opening, other rights (function adding/restoration, related to manors, mercenary placement), banning
Clan Levels
Clan levels may be acquired in phases. If a clan gains a level, they acquire a new level of clan skills. Through these skills, the clan gains various clan management abilities and powers, including clan member registration, expulsion, dissolution, transferring of authority, and warehouse usage. The higher the level, the more powerful a clan may become.
The following is a list of requirements for each clan level:
- Level 0: The character must be level 10.
- Level 1: 30,000 SP and 650,000 adena.
- Level 2: 150,000 SP and 2,500,000 adena.
- Level 3: 500,000 SP and Proof of Blood. The Proof of Blood is obtained by hunting Bloody Queens in Dragon Valley.

Clan Wars
Only the leader of a clan above level 3 with at least 15 members can declare war with the /clanwarstart command.
Accepting Declarations of War
A declaration of war can be directed only at a clan above level 3 with at least 15 members.
Clan wars cannot be declared against an ally, and the alliance must be severed in order to wage war. Also, a clan which has declared war, or been subjected to a declaration of war, cannot enter into an alliance with a clan they are warring against.
Even if a clan is already engaged in a clan war, it can declare war on another clan and expand the scope of the war. Clans waging war can also accept additional declarations of war.
A single clan can make a maximum of 30 declarations of war. However, there is no cap for receiving a declaration of war from another clan.
Clan war declarations/retractions privileges can be given to clan members.
Information about the current clan war status can be accessed with the following commands.
- /enemylist : Displays a list of clans on which your clan has declared war but has not declared in return.
- /attackerlist : Displays list of opposing clans which have declared war on your clan that has not declared in return.
- /clanwarlist : Displays list of opposing clans and friendly forces which have mutually declared war on one another.
Waging a Clan War
Clan wars can be declared with or without the consent of the opposing clan. Upon declaration of war, a system message will be displayed to the opponent.
Members of a clan which has received a declaration of war can view the name of the opposing clan in the /attackerlist .
Should a clan member be killed by an opposing clan member, the experience lost on death will be 1/4 of that of a normal death. This rule applies equally when the opposing clan has not declared war in return.
When two clans have mutually declared war on each other, when a clan member attacks and kills an opposing clan member who does not defend, the karma and PK count of the attacker do not rise. An attacker's PK count increases when killing a member of a clan that has not returned the declaration of war.
Upon declaration of war, a symbol will appear above the character name of a member of the opposing clan.
Ending a Clan War
The clan war can be ended by /clanwarstop command or clicking on the End War button in the Clan window and entering the name of the opposing clan.
War retraction, as in declaration, can be done without the consent of the opposing clan.
Upon proclaiming the end of war, the clans involved will receive a system message alerting them of the retraction.
If both clans in a war retract the war, it is effectively terminated.
Clan Halls
Only leaders of a level two or higher clan without a clan hall can obtain one. Clan halls are available in Dion Castle Town (C Grade), Gludio Castle Town and Gludin Village (B Grade), and Giran Castle Town, Aden Castle Town, and Goddard Castle Town (A Grade). The six clan halls in Aden Castle Town also give clan leaders the ability to ride a Wyvern.
Each hall has been given its own name; for instance, the first house in Gludin Village has the name Gludin Crystal Hall.
Purchasing Clan Halls
Clan leaders can only bid on one clan hall in an auction. When a clan leader places a bid on a clan hall, the bid amount of adena is taken from the clan's warehouse. Bids must be higher than the previous bid. Clan leaders cannot bid more than the amount of adena in the clan's warehouse.
The clan leader who places the highest bid at the end of the auction wins. If a clan is successful in purchasing a clan hall, the clan leader receives a message that they won. Any previous residents that are still in the hall are kicked out.
The bid amounts of the clan leaders who bid unsuccessfully are returned to their clan's warehouses.
Clan Hall Maintenance
The clan that owns the clan hall must deposit usage fees in the clan warehouse, collected weekly. If the usage fees are not paid, the clan leader receives a message and is given a grace period of one week. If the usage fees are still not paid after that time, the clan hall is repossessed and put up for auction.
HP and MP can be regenerated within the clan hall for a fee.
A warehouse is available in the clan hall, and teleporters are available in the clan hall for members to travel to the village entrance and square. Teleporting to other areas requires a fee.
Clan Hall Decorations
Players can add a variety of decorations and functions to their clan hall. The inside features can be changed in Gludio Castle Village and Aden Castle Village. The following decorations can be added if a fee is paid:
Players can add a variety of decorations and functions to the clan hall.
- Recovery Facilities

- Chandelier: When a character dies and returns to the clan hall, a fixed % of experience is recovered
- Miscellaneous Equipment
- Mirror: Allows teleportation to nearby regions and hunting areas
- Interior curtains: Offer a variety of buffs through Clan Hall manager NPC
- Magic Machine: For B-grade and higher houses, item production is available by grade

- Curtain, Foyer: These are decorations to make the house look more beautiful.
Selling Clan Halls
Clan leaders may put their clan hall up for auction through the Auctioneer. Auction periods can be set for seven days, three days, or one day. Clan leaders can write a simple description of the clan hall they wish to auction and must pay a deposit to put their clan hall up for auction.
The clan leader can cancel the auction during the set time, but the deposit is not returned and they cannot set up another auction for seven days.
When a clan hall does not have an owner, or has not been maintained sufficiently, it will be set up automatically for a seven-day auction period.
If the clan breaks up before the end of an auction period for their clan hall, the auction will continue, but the proceeds and deposit from selling the clan hall cannot be received.
If no one participates in an auction, the clan hall is returned to the owners, but their deposit is not returned.
If a clan successfully sells a clan hall, the clan leader will receive a message. The highest bid, minus taxes, is placed in the selling clan's warehouse, along with the deposit.
Exclusive Accessories for Clans
The Crown of Lord can be worn solely by the clan leader of a clan possessing a castle. The crown can be acquired from the castle's lord Chamberlain and can be obtained after the end of a siege. Only one Crown of Lord can be obtained, and they cannot be dropped on the ground or sold. Also, if castle ownership is surrendered, the castle lord will be stripped of the crown and it will be removed from the inventory.
Members of a clan possessing a castle can also wear exclusive circlets. Alliance members do not have access to circlets. If castle ownership is surrendered or if the player withdraws from the clan, the circlets can no longer be worn.
Members of a clan with possession of a castle or clan hall can also equip exclusive shields. Shields can be acquired from the castle's lord Chamberlain or Clan Hall Manager, and the shield can display the clan insignia. The insignia can be registered as a 64*64 pixel 256 color bmp file by clicking on the Register Insignia button in the Clan window. If the clan has possession of a clan hall, item production must first be activated in order to purchase an clan shield. The shield will no longer be accessible upon surrendering ownership of the castle/clan hall or withdrawal from the clan.
Clan Actions
Information about the clan can be acquired through the Clan window (Alt+N). When the player is in a clan, this window displays the clan name, clan leader name, clan level, any held castles or clan halls, and a list of clan members.
